WHAT ARE CHEMICAL REACTIONS

WHAT ARE CHEMICAL REACTIONS

A simple example would be:

 hydrogen + oxygen -> water, just like saying 1+2 = 3!

HOWEVER, when a chemical reaction happens you can’t separate the reactants.

For example;

Putting a Vitamin C tablet in a glass of water makes the vitamin C tablet dissolve and become a solution, let’s call it...Vitamin C water!

But as you would know, you can’t get the vitamin C tablet back.

Although not all chemical reactions produce something bigger than the reactants, it is an easy comparison to make.

The chemical reaction is a process where a chemical undergoes a chemical change and changes into another substance.

Doing experiments in the science lab is only an extraordinarily small portion of the everyday chemical reactions that happen on the planet. From the rusting metal of your bike gears to the photosynthesis in plants, chemical reactions come in various forms producing various types of products.

The chemical reaction is a process where a chemical undergoes a chemical change and changes into another substance. Almost like a simple maths question! There are different types of reactants that can combine to make a product, just as there are different numbers than combine to create larger numbers.
